Concentrated yet lithe in style, showing fine definition and minerally cut on the long, focused finish. Fresh and minerally. The nose shows off black cherry and forest floor. It might be the finest wine I've tasted under this label.

In fact, Welschriesling has nothing in common with Riesling. Not at all outstanding, somewhat ordinary wine. Yes, well done, but nothing more. Everything is in balance, but there is no highlight. It is impossible to distinguish from hundreds of wines of similar style. In the aroma of pears and apples. The acidity is vigorous.

A purchase based on the app recommendation. And wow! Nice work. Smooth & sweet - berries & oak, vanilla flavours. Went really well with a pasta dish. Loved it... Very enjoyable (and easy!) to drink. Get this bottle & enjoy!

Great smell, great taste, great wine. Todo un numero 1. One thing I complain is the stupid heavy bottles. I think those bottles deliver less wine, which is a shame

Region
The Steiermark (Styria) wine region of Austria. This wine region is one of the smallest wine regions in Austria. Styria shares a border with Slovenia. Its location provides it with a wonderful Mediterranean climate that allows for the production of unique Austrian wines. This wine region produces only 10% of the total wines made in Austria. The small quantities that are produced mean that the wine is of the highest quality.
Grapes
Welschriesling is a white wine grape variety, unrelated to the Rhine Riesling, that is grown throughout Central Europe.
