The fermentation balances acidity and adds to its layered flavors, while a rich, seamless intensity defines the palate leading to a long, structured finish. It's full-bodied and has a seamless texture and a great finish. This is another classically elegant, complex wine that's going to evolve nicely for at least 7-8 years. So focused and really concentrated, too, for such a sleek example of this grape.

I think Sancerre Rouge is always good! Even if it’s about red wine 😄 Light and fresh. The aroma contains the whole set of red sour berries: cherries, red currants, cranberries. If you let it breathe, then a little orange blossom appears. There are almost no tannins. Excellent «summer» option.

Enjoyable piece, although it becomes quite heavy when it's coming closer to the end of 2nd glass )) Very nice combination of plum, cherry bone, leather, pepper and oak notes. The one for trying again.

Fresh with grass and lemon. Slight sourness just to give it character. A new world style of wine.

This is a balanced wine best combined with food eg grilled fish rather than on its own.

Region
Sancerre is a French wine Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) for wine produced in the area of Sancerre in the eastern part of the Loire valley, southeast of Orléans. Almost all of the appellation lies on the left bank of the Loire, opposite Pouilly-Fumé. It is well regarded for and primarily associated with Sauvignon blanc. Some Pinot noir is also grown, accounting for around 20% of the region's production, making mostly light red wines under the designation of Sancerre Rouge. A rosé style from Pinot noir is also produced in a style similar to Beaujolais, which is produced from the Gamay grape.
Grapes
Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder, Pinot Nero, Blauburgunder, Blauer Arbst, Blauer Spätburgunder, Burgunder, Cortaillod, Mário Feld, Mário Feld Tinto, Morillon, Morillon Noir, Mourillon, Savagnin Noir or Salvagnin Noir)is a red wine grape variety of the species Vitis vinifera. The name may also refer to wines created predominantly from Pinot noir grapes. The name is derived from the French words for pine and black. The word pine alludes to the grape variety having tightly clustered, pine cone-shaped bunches of fruit.
