The palate is sharp that enliven the mouth. Full-bodied and tight. This is another classically elegant, complex wine that's going to evolve nicely for at least 7-8 years. Drink now.

Rüdesheimer Bischofsberg Riesling is a very high quality «classic» Riesling. In the aroma, you will feel peaches and benzene notes. Acidity, sweetness — everything is in harmony. Boredom 🙂

I liked it, she outright loved it. Concentrated aromas of dark chocolate, vanilla, ripe plum. Went great with cheese, less so with meat, surprisingly (low acidity?)

Very interesting wine! Green apple dominates, dry profile with lots of fruit and freshness.

Very nice wine, fresh with citrus flavors. A touch on the sweet side, but doesn’t spoil the experience.
Chester Bailey · 11.3.2021
Very fresh and fruity, just a bit mineral

Oh damn! This is such a floral (almost alpine) devastatingly beautiful
Vincent Parker · 4.6.2021
Definitely a typical wine with quite strong taste which is something I have to appreciate.

Region
Rheingau is one of 13 designated German wine regions producing quality wines (QbA and Prädikatswein). It was named after the traditional region of Rheingau (meaning "Rhine district"), the wine region is situated in the state of Hesse. Although, making up only 3 percent of the total German vineyard area, Rheingau has been the source of many historically important innovations in German wine making, and contains many wine producers of international reputation, such as Schloss Johannisberg. Rheingau also boasts a higher proportion of Riesling (78.3%) than any other German wine-growing region, with Spätburgunder (Pinot noir) making up most of the rest (12.3%), followed by Müller-Thurgau.
Grapes
Riesling is a white grape variety which originated in the Rhine region. Riesling is an aromatic grape variety displaying flowery, almost perfumed, aromas as well as high acidity. It is used to make dry, semi-sweet, sweet, and sparkling white wines.
