Don Sebastian
Wine tasting review
The medium-bodied palate is silky, concentrated and seamlessly fresh, and finishing long and flavorful. Medium body, medium fine tannins and a focused finish. The nose is delicate and appealing. Hints of asphalt and earth come through.Wine enthusiast acclaim
Everything in this Rosado is kind of artificial. Even the colour is almost neon. Overripe fruits and berries in the aroma. Strawberry compote on the palate.
Comments
Another great vintage from this wine. A little more smoke than previous years, but with the similar notes of plum, a little cherry and oak.
Almost perfect, as always.
Nice wine although for some reason I preferred it chilled
Good value, will buy again and strongly recommend. Pretty bold wine
Fresh with grass and lemon. Slight sourness just to give it character. A new world style of wine.
Grassy and herby smelling but very clean and light
Aromatic and dry. Inkt 16 euro in our Italianen hotel
Good value, smooth
Rioja
Rioja in Northern Spain is best known for berry-scented, barrel-aged red wines made from Tempranillo and Garnacha. It is arguably Spain's top wine region. It is certainly the most famous, rivaled only by Jerez.
Garnacha
Garnacha or Grenache is one of the most widely planted red wine grape varieties in the world. It ripens late, so it needs hot, dry conditions such as those found in Spain, where the grape most likely originated.
Tempranillo
Tempranillo or Tinta Roriz is a black grape variety widely grown to make full-bodied red wines in its native Spain. Its name is the diminutive of the Spanish temprano, a reference to the fact that it ripens several weeks earlier than most Spanish red grapes.
