🗺 Treviso
Treviso is a city in Veneto, and capital of the eponymous province, situated between the Gulf of Venice and the Alps. Treviso is famous as the origin of the sparkling wines known as Prosecco, and still considered among the best sources for wine made from the grape variety Glera, formerly known as Prosecco, especially from the Prosecco de Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG and Colli Asolani Prosecco DOCG appellations, which are independent of the standard Prosecco DOC. Prosecco wines produced according to DOC regulations within Treviso are labeled Prosecco di Treviso.
