Wine tasting review
The finish is skinny, mineral-leesy and bright, suggesting this will age well. There is a superb balance in this wine with good freshness. Vivid aromas kick off the nose of this bottling. Great promise for the future.Wine enthusiast acclaim
Excellent Red Blend! A worthy alternative to Bordeaux. The aroma is cherry and a little blood. Good balance and already soft smooth tannins, albeit tangible.
Comments
Surprisingly i can now see why people like it for the lovely supple texture and yeasty flavours.
As usual great wine! Medium bodied, light sweetness, medium acidity, fantastic balance. Aromas of sweet peach, green fig, dried apricot, raisins, dried citrus. Great QPR wine!
Good wine wine. Taste is quite good and nice aroma. A bit too high price
Colore rosso rubino scurissimo ed impenetrabile. Al naso frutti neri maturi , spezie e affumicato. All’assaggio ciliegia nera , ribes nero , confettura di prugne , pepe nero e tabacco scuro, Morbido e setoso. Uno dei migliori primitivi. Eccellente.
Nice, inexpensive, very fruity and easy drinking win
Not a great nose to it, but nice on the palate, fruit forward, peach pear, hint of green apple. a bit of lingering aromatics of passionfruit. It’s got a good balance of acidity with a bit of residual fruit to finish. Quite transformative fruit forward to start, more citrus to finish with lots of rock mineral undertones.
Nice looking bottle. Excellent wine for the price. Silky, refined and lively.
Southern Highlands
The Southern Highlands form part of the Great Dividing Range, with the area sitting between 500 and 900 metres above sea level; the vineyards are positioned at up to 700 metres in altitude. Generally the region is cool, moist and slightly humid. The current wine history of the region dates only from the 1980s, when the Joadja Vineyards and Winery were established. The main wine varieties produced include Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world's most widely recognized red wine grape varieties. It is grown in nearly every major wine producing country among a diverse spectrum of climates from Canada's Okanagan Valley to Lebanon's Beqaa Valley.
Merlot
Merlot is a dark blue–colored wine grape variety, that is used as both a blending grape and for varietal wines. The name Merlot is thought to be a diminutive of merle, the French name for the blackbird, probably a reference to the color of the grape.
Petit Verdot
Petit Verdot is a variety of red wine grape, principally used in classic Bordeaux blends. It ripens much later than the other varieties in Bordeaux, often too late, so it fell out of favour in its home region. When it does ripen it adds tannin, colour and flavour, in small amounts, to the blend.
