Ends with dried sage accents on the firm finish. This is a mid-weight wine that you could easily pair with Tuscan fried pasta, such as coccoli or donzelle, thanks to that fresh acidity. The nose is delicate and appealing. Great promise for the future.

This is clearly not the best time to open this bottle. The aroma is beautiful and very noble: cherry, raspberry, oak. Everything is very restrained and portends real pleasure in a glass. But in fact, the balance is shifting towards acidity. What a pity! Perhaps it still needs to wait for the best time.

Just recently tasted 2016, and while ago 2015 vintages. Now turn is for 2017. What csn I say, this wine never dissppoint you. Also 2017 is already well mature and same fantastic taste as previous years.

Top Teil. Sehr rund, ausgewogen, restsüß, süffig, einfach lecker. Eingemachte Beeren, Vanille, Holz. Voller Körper, dezente tannine. Unkomplizierter Wein für nette Abende.

Region
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita status for a red wine produced in the vineyards surrounding the town of Montepulciano, Italy. The wine is made primarily from the Sangiovese grape varietal (known locally as Prugnolo gentile) (minimum 70%), blended with Canaiolo Nero (10%–20%) and small amounts of other local varieties such as Mammolo. The wine is aged for 2 years (at least 1 year in oak barrels); three years if it is a riserva. The wine should not be confused with Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, a red wine made from the Montepulciano grape in the Abruzzo region of east-central Italy.
Grapes
Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world's most widely recognized red wine grape varieties. It is grown in nearly every major wine producing country among a diverse spectrum of climates from Canada's Okanagan Valley to Lebanon's Beqaa Valley.
Merlot is a dark blue–colored wine grape variety, that is used as both a blending grape and for varietal wines. The name Merlot is thought to be a diminutive of merle, the French name for the blackbird, probably a reference to the color of the grape.
Sangiovese is a red Italian wine grape variety that derives its name from the Latin sanguis Jovis, "the blood of Jupiter".
