Bright acidity and texture on the palate with a long finish. De facto a single vineyard wine.

Koonunga Hill Shiraz is quite nice Australian wine from Barossa region. Very jammy on the palate. In the aroma, the opposite is true: spices, plums, smoke. Tannins are pronounced, tangible.

Catching up with the wines from last week. This is one of, if not my favorite wine and I always have a bottle in my cellar. Full bodied, juicy, dense and full of texture in the palate. Ripe dark fruit, chocolate, vanilla and cinnamon. The usual slight sweetness towards the finish. Top stuff! ⭐️

Fruity but refreshing wine Extremely good with seafood and pasta It has a slight acid and sparkling note that makes it more enjoyable than other top fruity varieties

Rubinrot im Glas. Tolles fruchtiges Bouquet. Pflaumen, Kirschen und Erdbeeren dominieren, dazu eine leicht würzige Note. Trockener und schwerer Wein. Dezente Säure und präsente Tannine.

Very nice wine, fresh with citrus flavors. A touch on the sweet side, but doesn’t spoil the experience.

Region
The Barossa Valley wine region is in South Australia, about an hour's drive northeast of Adelaide. As its name suggests, it's characterised by rolling hills and valleys, and covered in a patchwork of vineyards.
Grapes
Shiraz, also known as Syrah, is a dark-skinned grape variety grown throughout the world and used primarily to produce red wine. In 1999, Syrah was found to be the offspring of two obscure grapes from southeastern France, Dureza and Mondeuse Blanche.
