The medium-bodied palate is silky, concentrated and seamlessly fresh, and finishing long and flavorful. Fruit forward, rich full flavors expressing both the varietal and the terroir. The wine has a silky smooth texture with red and blue tones in the bouquet. Great promise for the future.

OKeish Grauburgunder Trocken for the average canteen. Nothing special.

Very rich taste and nosé. It's lilies here, peach and apple. It's less gentle than earlier vintage but it's also a stronger character now

Had higher expectations. Dark red fruits, low acidity. Did not enjoy the finish, found it somewhat bitter.

Overpowering melon taste. Too dry for my liking

Slightly oaky, peppery, spicy, cinnamon, nutmeg. Very smooth finish. Solid and bold without being heavy.

Region
Mosel is the most famous of Germany's 13 official wine regions, and also the third largest in terms of production. As with many German regions, it is most aasociated with a range of wine styles made from the Riesling grape variety, but Müller-Thurgau is also widely planted.
Grapes
Grauburgunder, Pinot Gris or Pinot Grigio is a white wine grape variety of the species Vitis vinifera. Thought to be a mutant clone of the pinot noir variety, it normally has a grayish-blue fruit, accounting for its name but the grapes can have a brownish pink to black and even white appearance.
