Bright acidity and texture on the palate with a long finish. Well-structured and minerally. The nose shows off black cherry and forest floor. Impressive.

Blackberry is very pronounced in the aroma but in general, it would be quite a nice choice for the dinner.

I liked it, she outright loved it. Concentrated aromas of dark chocolate, vanilla, ripe plum. Went great with cheese, less so with meat, surprisingly (low acidity?)

As usual great wine! Medium bodied, light sweetness, medium acidity, fantastic balance. Aromas of sweet peach, green fig, dried apricot, raisins, dried citrus. Great QPR wine!

Top Teil. Sehr rund, ausgewogen, restsüß, süffig, einfach lecker. Eingemachte Beeren, Vanille, Holz.

Bouquet leaps out of glass. Fruity, slightly heavy

Very good. Not too bitter

Definitely a typical wine with quite strong taste which is something I have to appreciate.

Region
Rioja in Northern Spain is best known for berry-scented, barrel-aged red wines made from Tempranillo and Garnacha. It is arguably Spain's top wine region. It is certainly the most famous, rivaled only by Jerez.
Grapes
Tempranillo or Tinta Roriz is a black grape variety widely grown to make full-bodied red wines in its native Spain. Its name is the diminutive of the Spanish temprano, a reference to the fact that it ripens several weeks earlier than most Spanish red grapes.
